If you follow our posts, Rick Kime\u2019s nasty Willys coupe left us in gelcoat to go off to the paint shop. We posted photos here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We thought its gelcoat was pretty flawless, but the Renteria Brothers in Morgan Hill took it and knocked it right out of the ballpark. Rick had considered a variety of different colors for the Willys, but we were told the Renterias made the decision for him. They wouldn\u2019t paint it anything but black.
\n\"\"<\/a>Photographer Fred Childers shot a number of photos of the Willys at the NSRA Appreciation Day up in Lathrop a couple of weeks back. He was kind enough to share \u2018em with us\u2026<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>It was the first time we\u2019d seen the hood piece painted. Check the reflections in the Willy\u2019s flanks — and it hasn’t yet been rubbed out!<\/em><\/p>\n

Rick\u2019s put quite a few miles on the coupe and reports back that he\u2019s having a blast. We imagine that some of those miles have been sideways, he says it\u2019s been hard to keep from misbehaving in it.<\/p>\n
